We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Outcomes First Group, a leading provider of special needs education and care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to support pupils in their daily lives, ensuring their occupational and sensory needs are met.
- Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments, develop bespoke interventions, and prepare relevant documentation.
- Provide training and information to staff, commissioners, and other agencies as required.
- Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary therapy team to create a supportive environment for our pupils to thrive.
Requirements:
- Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) degree
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including those with complex needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Substantial post-qualification experience in a relevant setting
- Experience in data management and analysis
- Qualification in sensory integration or experience working with sensory integration techniques
- Experience in supervising and training staff
- Full valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary up to £53,000, dependent on experience, plus a £3000 welcome bonus
- A 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
- A permanent, term-time only contract
- A £2000 training allowance to support your professional development
