About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join our client, a multi-national FMCG business, on a 3-6 month assignment. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will be responsible for supporting the team with various financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile balance sheets and manage monthly ledger postings for smaller entities, including preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Perform inter-company reconciliations and recharges.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Manage VAT returns, consolidation, and compliance/reporting.
  • Contribute to year-end work, including stat packs, tax packs, audit, and statutory accounts.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified or QBE accountant with proven experience in balance sheet reconciliation and VAT. You should possess strong Excel skills and be able to commit to the assignment for 9-12 months.

As a Financial Accountant with Michael Page (UK), you will have the opportunity to work with a reputable client and gain valuable experience in a dynamic finance environment. You will be offered a competitive rate of £350-£400 per day outside IR35, with a 9-12 month contract and 2 days onsite in Burton.
