Job Title: Chief Structural Engineer - Project Lead

Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Structural Engineer - Project Lead to join our team at Bureau Veritas Group. As a key member of our Structural Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects, including design, inspection, and testing
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements

Requirements:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in project management
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including Autodesk and Microsoft Office
