About Your New Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor / Associate to join our Property Damage team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will support our clients in navigating complex property damage claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist partners and senior lawyers with their caseloads, providing proactive management and supervision of cases.
  • Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and court documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advise clients on liability and coverage issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Liaise with insurer and insured clients, experts, witnesses, counsel, and other parties to ensure seamless communication and case progression.
  • Ensure compliance with client service level agreements, relevant policies, and procedures.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of our team.
  • Complete management information and delegate tasks to trainees and paralegals as needed.

About You

  • 2-6 years' PQE or equivalent experience in insurance litigation and policy coverage analysis.
  • Proven experience in property damage claims and commercial insurance policies.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market, reporting arrangements, reserving philosophies, and the relationship between brokers, underwriters/insurers, and lawyers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and commercial approach.
