Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team at Climate17 | B Corp™, a purpose-led, international Renewable Energy & Sustainability recruitment firm. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in reducing their environmental footprint and transitioning to a low-carbon infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate accreditations and certifications, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to prepare and deliver reports, maintaining strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers to stay informed about changes to heat and power circuits, ensuring prompt action is taken when necessary.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to drive compliance and continuous improvement, providing guidance to sites to maintain RHI, FiT, and ISCC compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Ofgem and ISCC external audits, engaging with auditors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ensure all feedstocks used are Ofgem compliant, and participate in the Energy Management process for the sale of RGGO/REGOs.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience working with regulatory bodies, preferably Ofgem.
  • Experience in energy trading and derivatives is beneficial.
  • A degree-level education in a science-related subject is preferable, but not essential, with demonstrable experience gained from an engineering or industrial background.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and negotiation skills.
  • Full clean driving license.
