Join Our Team as a Head of ESG

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping our organization's sustainability agenda and driving positive change.

About the Role

The Head of ESG will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving the delivery of our ESG strategy. This will involve managing complex dependencies, feeding into other programs and portfolios as appropriate, and creating and supporting an ESG culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Compliance & ESG Director and ESG Committee to drive business improvement across the ESG agenda.
  • Driving engagement across organizational, technical, and political boundaries, leading as a catalyst for cultural change.
  • Supporting the delivery of Environmental strategies through cross-functional collaboration and applying critical review to ensure alignment with ESG strategy.
  • Developing the Group's ESG reporting, highlighting Pennon ESG performance, activities, and future topics.
What We're Looking For
  • Education to degree level standard or able to demonstrate working to degree level, with a sustainable accreditation as desirable.
  • Extensive and broad-based business experience, delivering diverse corporate projects in a medium/large organization.
  • Demonstrable experience of Governance, compliance, and audit processes.
  • Demonstrable experience building relationships and influencing senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and industry best practices.
