Position Summary:
We are looking for motivated and skilled SEN Tutors to become part of our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong enthusiasm for education and a dedication to providing engaging and impactful tutoring experiences.
Your role will involve collaborating with students to enhance their comprehension and performance in English, Mathematics, and Science, customizing your teaching strategies to align with individual learning preferences.
Primary Duties:
1. Conduct individualized and small group tutoring sessions in English, Mathematics, and Science.
2. Create and execute tailored learning plans that focus on each student's unique strengths and areas needing improvement.
3. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and resources to ensure learning is both engaging and accessible.
4. Monitor and document student progress, offering consistent feedback to both students and their guardians.
5. Prepare students for examinations and assessments, providing effective strategies for success.
6. Cultivate a nurturing and encouraging educational atmosphere that promotes student confidence and independence.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant educational qualifications or a related field (e.g., a degree in English, Mathematics, Science, Education, or equivalent).
2. Experience in tutoring or teaching core subjects.
3. Comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and assessment standards for English, Mathematics, and Science.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Patience, enthusiasm, and a sincere commitment to supporting student success.
6. Capability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
7. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent.
2. Familiarity with educational technology and online tutoring platforms.
3. Understanding of special educational needs and strategies to assist diverse learners.
