We are on a mission to revolutionize the quality of education provided to young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND), as well as other needs such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

The SEN/SEND Tutor Role

This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.

Our tutors will work with young people who require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey. If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.

SEN/SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Planning Each Session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring
  • Providing Holistic and Engaging Sessions that meet the young person's needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing Lesson Reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
SEN/SEND Tutor Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 Years Teaching Experience
  • Experience Working with Young People with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or Other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, Knowledge, and Understanding of Safeguarding Processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two Professional References
  • Right to Work in the UK
