Lead Statistician

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Statistician to join our team at Pop Science in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of cardiovascular research projects, collaborating with a globally renowned research group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide statistical and epidemiological leadership for a team studying the benefits and risks of atrial fibrillation treatments, as well as the management of venous thromboembolism. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing statistical design, analysis, and decision-making support for research projects
  • Supervising and supporting the career development of junior statisticians
  • Collaborating with Professors and Steering committees on ongoing clinical research projects
  • Advising on the design of new clinical studies, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in statistics or substantial experience in medical statistics or a closely related field
  • Substantial experience in applying statistical methods in biomedical research, Pharma, CRO, Academia, or Healthcare industry
  • Experience in managing research projects and staff, and an established international publication record
  • Strong experience with SAS, including data manipulation and analysis of a wide array of data sources/types
  • Experience in leading research programmes, including setting the strategic direction
