About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Statistician to join our team at Pop Science in London. As a key member of our research institute, you will play a crucial role in providing statistical leadership and expertise to support our cardiovascular research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide statistical and epidemiological leadership for a team studying Benefits and Risks of Atrial Fibrillation Treatments, as well as Management of Venous Thromboembolism.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of appropriate methods for statistical analysis.
  • Supervise and support the career development of junior statisticians on the team.
  • Collaborate with Professors and Steering committees on ongoing clinical research projects.
  • Advise on the design of new clinical studies, ensuring they are planned and implemented to the highest standards and in compliance with ICH-GCP and all applicable regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • PhD in statistics or substantial experience in medical statistics or a closely related field.
  • Substantial experience in applying statistical methods in biomedical research, Pharma, CRO, Academia, or Healthcare industry.
  • Experience in managing research projects and staff, and an established international publication record.
  • Strong experience with SAS, including data manipulation and analysis of a wide array of data sources/types.
  • Experience in leading research programmes, including setting the strategic direction, would also be desirable.
What We Offer

This is a permanent full-time position based in the UK in London. Candidates will need to have current and valid eligibility to work in the UK in order to be considered for this role.
