Job Title: Principal Development Engineer

Join MASS Consultants, a leading technology company, as a Principal Development Engineer in our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS). We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Countermeasure Development team, providing technical advice and support to our customers.

About the Role

As a Principal Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in developing models, designing and adding new features into our countermeasure software, solving customer challenges and requirements. You will also have the opportunity to shape a growing team at our head office, allowing for career development opportunities across the broader EWOS group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in developing models and designing new features into our countermeasure software
  • Solve customer challenges and requirements
  • Shape a growing team at our head office
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in electro-optics, radar systems, and countermeasure techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and initiatives
Requirements
  • Experience with electro-optics, radar systems, and countermeasure techniques
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with software development and testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python programming languages
  • Mentoring and coaching of junior engineers
  • Assisting with technical bid writing and estimation
  • Demonstrating software products to potential customers
Security Clearance

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects, you must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK, and eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
