As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the packhouse, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards, and driving business growth through effective leadership and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train a seasonal staff of 40-50 individuals to ensure efficient and effective operation of the packhouse
  • Implement and enhance BRC food processing systems and HACCP principles for fruit and freeze-drying
  • Strategically manage stocks to meet packing requirements, including packaging, crates, labels, and film
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports for customers and senior management
  • Oversee packing and dispatch processes to meet customer specifications

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in food processing and familiarity with off and in-line labeling and printing systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with external partners for orders and transport arrangements
  • Proficiency in quality management and sales order processing
  • Understanding of Sage accounting processes
