The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packhouse Manager to lead our soft fruits packing team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our packing and dispatch processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train a seasonal staff of 40-50 individuals to ensure efficient and effective packing and dispatch operations.
  • Implement and enhance BRC food processing systems and HACCP principles for fruit and freeze-drying.
  • Strategically manage stocks to meet packing requirements, including packaging, crates, labels, and film.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports for customers and senior management.
  • Oversee packing and dispatch processes to meet customer specifications.
The Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in food processing and familiarity with off and in-line labelling and printing systems. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to collaborate with external partners for orders and transport arrangements. Proficiency in quality management and sales order processing is also required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of sage accounting processes.
The Package
