About the Role
The Head of Procurement and Commercial Operations will be responsible for leading the Commercial Department, ensuring the team is effective and compliant in delivering services to the business. This includes managing a team of approximately 30 staff, setting targets, and monitoring performance. The role also involves ensuring the organization has the necessary resources, including training, development, and succession planning, to support operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Commercial Department, including setting targets and monitoring performance, to ensure the team is effective and compliant in delivering services to the business.
- Ensure the organization has the necessary resources, including training, development, and succession planning, to support operational delivery.
- Control the overall commercial procurement strategy and develop and implement it as appropriate to deliver key strategies.
- Owning, leading, maintaining, and proactively improving commercial systems, protocols, templates, and procedures within the Procurement team.
- Providing commercial advice on all aspects of procurement and commercial contracts and taking full responsibility for leading on all decision-making in this area.
