We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Vicar of Hemingford Grey and Rector of Hemingford Abbots. This is a unique opportunity to lead two lively and distinct parishes in attractive rural settings, each with its own traditions and styles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire the congregations of St Margaret's and St James, fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to reach out to all age groups, including children, young people, and families, and to grow the congregations.
- Collaborate with the Associate priest, retired priests, and licensed and unlicensed laity to lead worship services and preach.
- Provide strong but servant leadership, delegating tasks and identifying and encouraging gifts and leadership in others.
- A vibrant faith and love of God, with a passion for helping others grow in their faith and share it with the community.
- Experience in helping congregations grow and develop, with a track record of strong leadership and team management.
- Ability to lead and participate in a wide range of worship styles and formats, and to adapt to the different traditions of the two parishes.
