Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our team at Nursery People. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and education to children aged from three months to five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and organize activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development through playtime, games, and creative activities.
  • Basic Care Routines: Assist with basic care routines, including feeding, changing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain positive communication with parents or guardians, sharing information about a child's day and progress.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about best practices in childcare and early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a government-recognized childcare qualification at Level 2.
  • Experience: Have previous experience of working with children in a nursery setting or environment.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other nursery staff, following the guidance of senior staff or room leaders to ensure consistency in care and activities.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a desire to be an active member of the team, challenging yourself and the children on a daily basis.
  • DBS Disclosure: All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
