Project Engineering Manager - Energy Sector

Costain is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our vibrant team in Manchester. As a key member of our Energy Sector team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering design on major projects across the energy transition and conventional oil & gas fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead multi-discipline engineering teams in the various stages of the project life cycle on major contracts in the Energy Sector.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with UK technical regulatory standards and global best practice.
  4. Champion Sustainability, Safety, Health, and Environment by promoting a culture of personal safety and wellbeing, and contributing to the company's goal of creating connected, sustainable infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • HNC or Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years or more experience coordinating multidiscipline teams in the various stages of the project life cycle on major contracts in the Energy Sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in the energy transition field, including green/blue hydrogen, CCUS, and emissions reduction.
  • Good knowledge of the major project delivery process from work winning to project handover.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK technical regulatory standards and global best practice.
