Senior Clinical Fellowship in Cardiac and Maternal Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical fellow to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing their skills and knowledge in cardiac and maternal medicine.
About the RoleThis is a 12-month fixed-term post, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement and on satisfactory performance. The post-holder will work within the Obstetrics Department at St Michael's Hospital, under the supervision of the Maternal Medicine/ Cardiac Pregnancy Team. The team is led by experienced obstetricians and cardiologists who are passionate about providing excellent care to women with complex medical conditions.
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the full shift on-call rota, including emergency cover for Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Attend weekly local and regional cardiac obstetric/maternal medicine MDT meetings and cardiac obstetric/maternal medicine antenatal clinics
- Attend teaching ward rounds (maternal medicine and cardiac)
- Contribute to inpatient care of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care of women with medical conditions and cardiac disease
- Contribute to pre-pregnancy counselling of women with cardiac and medical problems

Person Specification- Registration with GMC
- MBBS or equivalent GMC recognised
- MRCOG part 2
- Language skills as assessed by the GMC
