We are excited to offer a position for a Culinary Specialist to become part of our catering team. In this role, you will collaborate with a passionate group of Chefs and Kitchen Assistants under the guidance of our Head Chef. Your mission will be to create nutritious and appealing meals for young residents, ensuring that mealtimes are a delightful experience that fosters a sense of value and belonging.

Our facility specializes in supporting young people with complex mental health needs, providing a nurturing environment that promotes recovery. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive approach, working closely with young individuals, their families, and other professionals to deliver tailored care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 30 hours per week on a flexible shift schedule.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs of residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Regularly assess and update menus based on feedback and dietary requirements, including special diets.
  • Engage with residents and staff to ensure a balanced and healthy dining experience.
  • Manage inventory and supplies efficiently, maintaining budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene or equivalent certification.
