Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teachers in preparing lesson materials and setting up classrooms for lessons
  • Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their learning and development
  • Watch, record and report the progress students make
  • Look after children who are upset or unwell
  • Lead classes with help from the teacher
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a school is advantageous
  • Friendly, confident and calm attitude
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults
  • Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
  • Good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • Passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially
