About the Role

Southwark Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a School Crossing Patrol Officer. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable individuals as they cross the road around schools during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with children, adults, and other road users to maintain a safe and orderly environment
  • Operate at designated crossing points, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, promoting safe behavior and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Work a regular schedule, including one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon during school term time
