Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our team at Pyramid8. As a key member of our legal practice, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload, including complex and sensitive matters, and representing clients in Police Stations and Magistrates' court.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive to grow and develop their career with our client. You will work closely with the Director to develop the Criminal Defence team and will be supported by a team of Caseworkers and Paralegals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage your own caseload, including complex and sensitive matters, in a warm and confident manner.
  2. Represent clients in Police Stations and Magistrates' court.
  3. Work closely with the Director to grow and develop the Criminal Defence team.
  4. Collaborate with a team of Caseworkers and Paralegals to achieve team goals.
  5. Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in criminal law and procedure.
  7. Contribute to the development of the legal practice and its reputation.

Requirements

  1. At least 1 year PQE in criminal law.
  2. Duty Solicitor status.
  3. Police Station Accreditation or willingness to work towards achieving it.
  4. Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to build strong client relationships and to empathize with clients at all levels.
  6. Self-motivated and commercially minded, with a drive to generate new work.
  7. Motivation to learn and self-develop.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems.
