Job Title: Knowledge Manager for Public Sector Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Manager to support the delivery of two critical technology projects within a public sector organisation. The successful candidate will provide knowledge and information management support to these projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, public sector requirements, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and support to the projects on all aspects of knowledge and information management, including information rights and data protection.
  • Creation of associated knowledge and information documentation to support formal assurance processes.
  • Act as interface between the KIM Team and projects, attending meetings to represent KIM.
  • Implement Microsoft SharePoint configuration changes to specifications produced as part of the projects.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of information architecture, including taxonomies, standards, glossaries, and metadata.
  • Experience in information and records management, with a working knowledge of the Public Records Act.
  • Awareness of data/information governance and risk management principles.
  • Working knowledge of M365 and associated knowledge and information management functions.
  • Administrative experience implementing SharePoint Online information management solutions.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience working in a Knowledge and Information role within the public sector.
  • Knowledge of the UK Government Security Classification scheme.

Please note that you must be a British national and have been a resident in the UK for at least two of the last five years.
