Job Title: Hospitality Sous Chef

As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service in our school's kitchen. Your expertise in large-scale cooking, recipe management, and staff supervision will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the replenishment of food and the dismantling of work areas at the end of service.
  • Develop, mentor, and conduct training for the kitchen team.
  • Control labor, food, and stock expenses to optimize costs.
  • Ensure uniformity in food and service standards.
  • Manage menu creation and development.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure standards are being followed.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in cooking for large groups (100-1300 students).
  • Experience following recipes and working with fresh produce.
  • Previous staff supervision or line management experience.
  • Basic food handling skills certification (NVQ Level 2, Level 2 Food Safety Certificate).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hands-on cooking, training on Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
