Role Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has emerged within our core platforms division for an IT Service Manager specializing in Back Office Cloud Platforms Systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our services as Post Office leverages contemporary technologies to provide an effective and economical service.

In this position, you will oversee the comprehensive management of the Back Office IT Cloud Platform service delivery, guaranteeing strong service availability, performance metrics, and process enhancement, while collaborating closely with essential third-party vendors. The services encompass the administration of cloud-based applications developed on platforms such as Azure, AWS, Service-Now, Google Cloud, and other native SaaS solutions.

Qualifications for Success

As a seasoned IT Service Manager, you will be integral to our Back Office team and should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing Retail and Regulatory Back-office SaaS applications

• Extensive background in consulting and/or solution architecture in Cloud Data and Analytics applications, Middleware, and integration within a retail context.

• Strong people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management methodologies

• Demonstrated customer-centric mindset and behavior

• Experience across a broad spectrum of internal business functions.

• Understanding of risk management processes

• Commitment to continuous improvement

• Proven track record of effective teamwork and embodying a team-oriented ethic.

• Insight into the value provided to customers and external partners/clients.

• Capability to deliver services in accordance with agreed contractual obligations – experience in third-party management is expected

• Desirable skills in consulting or solution architecture related to Cloud technologies and SaaS products such as Azure, AWS, GCP, ServiceNow, Jira-Confluence, SQL, Middleware, and integration.
