Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an ERTMS Project Support Specialist within the operational framework of Govia Thameslink Railway.

Key Responsibilities

This role is centered on enhancing the functionality of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) within the Thameslink Core. You will leverage insights and data from this initiative to contribute to the broader Long Term Deployment Plan (LTDP) for ERTMS, which encompasses various strategic programs.

As part of the ERTMS team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Collecting and analyzing data related to operational incidents to identify areas for improvement across the Thameslink Route.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure cohesive project execution.
  3. Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including driver managers, competency development managers, drivers, and signallers, adapting your communication style to meet their specific needs.
  4. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the ERTMS system's operations within the Thameslink Core and across the GTR network.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a Trade Union environment.
  • Project Management qualifications, such as PRINCE II or Agile.
