Indirect Category Manager

**Salary:** £40,000-£55,000 (DOE) + benefits
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indirect Buyer / Category Buyer to join our team at Barclay Meade. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing our indirect spend, including IT, corporate services, and professional services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Supplier Management:** Undertake proactive supplier management of key service providers, including supplier relationship management, contract change, escalations, risk management, and leading governance forums.
- **Project Lifecycle:** Be involved at all stages of the project lifecycle, starting with stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering, and contract negotiation.
- **Escalations:** Promptly address any escalations from internal business stakeholders.
- **Programme Management:** Support a large-scale programme that will transform the way services are currently procured within the group. This will involve transition activity from incumbent suppliers to new providers and will require excellent stakeholder management and engagement.
- **Line Management:** You may have line management responsibility and there will be opportunities to deputise for the Senior Managers.
- **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate and agree contractual terms, pricing, and service levels.
- **Operational Procurement:** Perform elements of operational procurement, such as requisition and invoice approval.
**Requirements:**
- **Procurement Experience:** Experienced procurement professional within indirect / service-based procurement, including professional services, corporate services, IT, or wider.
- **Stakeholder Management:** Excellent stakeholder management skills and supplier relationship management.
- **Travel:** Able to travel to suppliers on a regular basis across the UK.
- **Problem-Solving:** Ability to identify and develop solutions to problems.
