Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team as a Resuscitation Specialist. As a key member of our Resuscitation Service, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the provision of a highly efficient resuscitation service across all Trust sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Lead Resuscitation Practitioners and Senior Resuscitation Practitioners to develop and implement resuscitation strategies and protocols.
  • Participate in resuscitation training and education programs, including cross-training in all disciplines within the service.
  • Assist the Resuscitation Practitioners and Senior Resuscitation Practitioners as a clinical member of the resuscitation team, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner in promoting Resuscitation skills and standards, supported by current scientific guidance from the Resuscitation Council (UK).
  • Provide professional advice to all areas of the organisation concerning resuscitation issues, including policy development, training, clinical governance, and equipment issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement audits, both locally and nationally (National Cardiac Arrest Audit).
