Job Summary:

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at City of Wolverhampton College. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside tutors to provide effective support for learners in a classroom environment, follow direction from the tutor, and work as a team with other SSW's in the classroom to provide effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work alongside tutors to provide effective support for learners in a classroom environment, follow direction from the tutor, and work as a team with other SSW's in the classroom to provide effective support.
  • To liaise with key members of the team to inform the development of planning to support learners in educational and pastoral activities in order to promote progression into independent learning and further training and educational opportunities.
  • To support the assessment of adult learners that require support which meets funding requirements.
  • To provide guidance and support to SSW and specialist SSW to ensure that best practice is shared to help the students achieve and progress.
