Job Title: TB Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated TB Nurse Specialist to join our team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. As a TB Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with tuberculosis (TB) and latent TB (LTBI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert patient-centered nursing care and advice to patients with TB and LTBI.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, including complex cases requiring enhanced case management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct nurse-led clinics, including follow-up of active cases, LTBI treatment, and screening.
  • Work closely with the Senior TB Nurse Specialist to develop the strategic direction of the TB service.
Requirements:
  • First-level registered adult nurse with a degree-level qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Post-registration experience in acute medicine, inclusion health, or community working with vulnerable adults or children.
  • Sound knowledge of current nursing and healthcare issues.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including teaching and presentation skills.
