Job Title: TB Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated TB Nurse Specialist to join our team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. As a TB Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with tuberculosis (TB) and latent TB (LTBI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert patient-centered nursing care and advice to patients with TB and LTBI.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, including complex cases requiring enhanced case management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of patients with TB and LTBI.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive and responsive TB nursing service.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of sustainable programs to raise awareness and reduce stigma among high-risk groups.
Requirements:
  • First-level registered adult nurse with a degree-level qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Post-registration experience in acute medicine, inclusion health, or community working with vulnerable adults or children.
  • Sound knowledge of current nursing and healthcare issues.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teaching and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
