Scaffold Design Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Scaffold Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at CV Library. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in scaffold design or temporary works and a passion for delivering innovative and practical solutions within the construction industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders, while playing a key role in the technical delivery of scaffold designs. If you're a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive site surveys to identify clients' needs
  2. Carry out designs using AutoCAD, producing high-quality design drawings
  3. Produce supporting calculations and conduct structural analysis to ensure accuracy and safety
  4. Read and reference complete structural drawings to enable the production of project-specific designs
  5. Liaise with clients face-to-face and in writing/by phone as necessary
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (we would also be interested to hear from anyone with an HNC in Engineering coupled with working experience of Scaffold Design)
  2. Advanced level use of AutoCAD to produce high-quality design drawings
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, highly skilled in spreadsheet production and formulae, to produce supporting calculations
  4. Relevant experience working with structural analysis software tools in line with current standards
  5. Competent at reading and interpreting complex structural drawings
  6. Friendly, collaborative outlook, and excellent communication skills
