Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Our client, a leading international food and agri-related manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team in the Dereham area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of all machinery within the plant, including preventative and planned maintenance programmes, plant inspections, fabrication, and installation. They will also be expected to have a logical approach to electrical fault finding and repairs, as well as basic mechanical maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out preventative and planned maintenance programmes to ensure the smooth operation of plant machinery
  • Conduct plant inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Perform fabrication and installation tasks as required
  • Use PLCs and inverters to control and monitor plant equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults using a logical approach
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of electrical drawings and schematics
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure effective maintenance and repair of plant equipment
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working in a production plant environment
  • Strong understanding of PLCs and inverters
  • Logical approach to electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Basic mechanical maintenance skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
