Your Role as a Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by helping them develop essential daily living skills.

About Our Facility

We have been providing care for individuals with Learning Disabilities for over two decades, operating a 24-hour service. Our facility accommodates up to six individuals with varying degrees of Learning Disabilities, and we customize our services to promote independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in a waking nights role, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Encourage independence among those we support.
  • Assist with a variety of daily activities, including household tasks, outings, and vacations.
  • Organize recreational activities both within the home and in the community.
  • Support residents in maintaining their health and safety.
  • Provide assistance with personal care needs, including close personal care.
  • Conduct manual handling as required.
  • Administer medication and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Essential Skills and Qualities

While prior knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We seek individuals who are:

  • Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental.
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the role, including manual handling.
