Position Overview

Logistics Coordinator

Working hours: Monday to Friday
Occasional Saturday mornings (remote work)
Annual leave: 33 days including public holidays

Role Responsibilities
We are looking for a well-organized and self-driven individual with a keen interest in logistics coordination and a passion for the recycling industry. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Planning and overseeing a specific region of the commercial vehicle fleet.
  • Working towards established transport budgets and performance targets.
  • Managing drivers and subcontractors remotely.
  • Creating and delivering a daily fleet schedule by depot.
  • Assessing work volumes and fleet resource needs.
  • Collaborating with depot operations management.
  • Reporting to the Transport Supervisor and Office Managers.

Compliance with all company policies regarding conduct, environmental standards, health and safety, and community engagement is essential.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be:

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced office environment and managing pressure effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experienced in logistics coordination, preferably within the recycling sector.
  • Skilled in KPI reporting to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Knowledgeable in vehicle and driver cost management.
  • Experienced in providing transport freight quotations.
