Position Overview:

Ormond Terrace Dental is a well-established family dental practice located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in TCO opportunities, focusing on the patient journey, social media, and treatment coordination.
  • Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures, including implant surgeries.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following established protocols.
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
  • Set up and prepare the surgery for each patient and their planned treatments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of all equipment and working surfaces to meet required standards.
  • Safely dispose of sharps and clinical waste.
  • Provide clinical support under the supervision of the Dentist/Specialist.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, coordinating with the stock nurse for any shortages.
  • Adhere to all practice policies and procedures, ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with the dental team.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with GDC guidelines.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Preferred prior experience in TCO roles.
  • Possess a caring and empathetic nature with outstanding listening abilities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrate motivation, friendliness, flexibility, punctuality, and organizational skills.
  • Hold a qualification in Dental Nursing – NEBDN or NVQ.
  • Have Dental Nurse Registration with the General Dental Council.
  • Possess post-qualification experience.
  • Be IT literate; familiarity with the SOE practice management system is advantageous.
