About the Role:
FORTNA is a leading provider of omnichannel and parcel distribution solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of innovative software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute software projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope, and budget adherence.
- Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams, including project management, solution architects, development teams, QA, and documentation.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project stakeholders, including internal sprint teams, external stakeholders, and end users, to ensure effective communication and project expectations.
- Change Control and Risk Management: Identify, manage, and control changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, as well as assume responsibility for risk management and mitigation.
- Project Monitoring and Control: Track project costs, prepare forecasts, and ensure project releases are completed to design specifications.
- Travel and Collaboration: Travel to project sites as necessary to facilitate successful project implementation and collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and manage project records, archive files, and conduct project post-mortems to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-7 years of technical experience with project management, cross-functional team management, and software principles and methodologies.
- Skills: Strong understanding of software principles and methodologies, ability to employ persuasion and negotiation skills, project costing and forecasting experience, risk management and risk mitigation experience, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Certifications: PMP certification.
Desired Qualifications:
- Industrial Automation Experience: Experience in industrial automation, software, and/or material handling.
- Business Degree: Business degree preferred but not required.
- Scrum Certification: Scrum certification.
