Job Summary

The Account Manager, Group Desk is responsible for providing proactive execution of group sales processes and coordination operations as directed by the Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support a minimum of two (2) Group Sales Directors in achieving sales goals and objectives.
  2. Maintain accurate sales tracking, sales account management, and database records through effective use of all PTG sales tools and systems, including CRM, www.phgmeetings.com, and brand member portals.
  3. Assist in monitoring the Group Desk Inbox and provide minimal support for Multi-Segment Sales Directors as needed.
  4. Ensure detailed and professional responses to all client/member hotel group sales requests.
  5. Distribute all group leads to hotel members and all group lead profiles as directed by established SOPs, qualify leads, update database with lead profile distribution to members, and assist with report generation as needed.
  6. Provide timely and thorough communications with clients, sales directors, and hotel members regarding program information on a daily basis.
  7. Organize and coordinate events, participate in client event marketing, planning, and execution as requested by Sales Directors and/or Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training.
  8. Collect post-convention production and pick-up from member hotels.
  9. Assist clients/Group Sales Directors with visiting hotel representatives, set up appointments, and sales calls.
  10. Assist in special projects as assigned.
  11. Prepare activities report, production report, and other applicable reports as needed by Group Sales Directors.
  12. Provide Sales Director with complete telephone and email support as requested.
  13. Report for duty punctually, wearing appropriate attire, reflecting a professional and polished image.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a disciplined and structured approach, with strong organizational and communication skills. They will also have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in high-volume situations, discern client-sensitive material, and handle it appropriately. Sales department administration experience within luxury hotels is a plus, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows. Additional language proficiency will enhance the position.

Working Conditions

The Account Manager, Group Desk will work in the Preferred Hotels office, which is beautifully and functionally decorated with all required technology tools. The employee will be seated most of the time.

Required Training

The successful candidate will require orientation, Outlook training, CRM training, Phgmeetings.com training, and CVent training.
