Security Officer

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a visible security presence throughout the hospital, delivering a polite, efficient, and compassionate service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, including detaining patients against their will at the request of clinical personnel, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including security officers, administrative staff, and departmental managers, to ensure a seamless and effective security service.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with patients, visitors, and staff, including contractors and emergency services, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Healthcare background and experience working in a challenging environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with individuals and motivate them to achieve a positive outcome.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and patient care.
- Health and Safety knowledge and a full UK driving license (desirable).
