Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a visible security presence throughout the hospital, ensuring a polite, efficient, and compassionate service to all.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, including dealing with distressed, violent, and aggressive individuals.
- Arming and disarming intruder alarms, monitoring CCTV, and reporting critical and medical alarms.
- Take a leading role in fire alarm procedures and provide a first line response to emergency situations.
- Healthcare background and experience of working in a challenging environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with individuals in distress.
- Physical stamina to respond to situations requiring intense physical effort.
- Health and Safety knowledge and a full UK driving license (desirable).
