Your Role as an HCA:
As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and person-centered care to individuals within secure mental health units. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Monitoring patients' well-being and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
Essential Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working in mental health care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach
- Flexibility and reliability
- PMVA training or willingness to obtain it
