Role Overview

As an Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist within our Facilities Management division, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing scheduled maintenance tasks and addressing both improvement initiatives and urgent repairs related to electrical and mechanical systems. Your expertise in electrical and electronic principles will be essential as you work with various electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy across the facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems, including lighting and alarm systems.
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical components such as wiring, sockets, and lighting fixtures.
  • Collaborate with external contractors, ensuring compliance with security protocols during their presence on site.
  • Support the IT department with the installation of new technological equipment.
  • Oversee general maintenance tasks related to electro-mechanical systems.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical safety standards applicable to both residential and commercial environments.
  • Maintain precise records of PPMs and service activities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Stay informed about current wiring regulations, ideally holding an 18th Edition certification.
  • Hold a relevant Engineering Qualification, such as an NVQ or HND.
