About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Nurse/AHP to join our cancer research team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering trials to our patients, giving them the opportunity to participate in developing novel and innovative treatments and interventions.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the recruitment and follow-up of patients in cancer and haematology studies, both academic and industry-sponsored. This will involve identifying, screening, consenting, recruiting, and conducting follow-up with patients into national clinical studies, as well as entering data onto spreadsheets and data collection forms.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse/AHP with significant post-registration clinical experience in a relevant clinical area
  • Strong motivation to work within research and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team, as well as part of the wider multidisciplinary team

Working with Us

You will be line-managed by the Band 7 Team Lead Research Sister and work closely with Consultants, Registrars, and the wider MDT. You will also work closely with the Research and Innovation Team to promote the importance of clinical research across the Trust.
