Job Responsibilities:
Application Log Monitoring

  • Extensive experience and expertise in data observability, including handling logs, metrics, traces, data contents, pipelines, and user interactions.
  • Proficiency with application observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and OpenTelemetry.
Data Observability

  • Familiarity with the data observability landscape, including tools like Acceldata, IBM Databand, Monte Carlo, and Collibra, along with their features and advantages/disadvantages.
Cross-Platform Pipelines

  • Understanding of data pipelines (both batch and streaming) utilizing various technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hive, BigQuery, and GCS.
  • Knowledge of how data observability tools can be integrated with these pipelines.
Architectural Documentation

  • Develop architecture proposals aimed at executive-level stakeholders.
  • Design solutions that align with the broader data platform landscape of the organization.
Cross-Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to consolidate use cases within the organization, ensuring clear and professional documentation. Key stakeholders include architects and lead engineers across various departments.
  • Formulate a business case demonstrating the value and cost savings associated with adopting a unified application and data observability approach/tooling.
