Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Allied Health/Nursing. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct group and individual therapy sessions, as well as provide consultation and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Recognized University degree or diploma (NQAI Level 8 equivalent) in Psychology, obtained with first or second class honours.
  • Postgraduate professional psychological qualification recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • At least five years satisfactory postgraduate experience in clinical/counselling psychology, including three years full-time postgraduate training and two years' experience as a Staff Grade Psychologist.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
