Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front of House Operations Manager to join our team at CaterShaw Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our front-of-house services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Front of House Manager, demonstrating a positive and proactive approach to managing the team and operations.
    • Motivate and inspire the Front of House team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of presentation.
  • Operational Management
    • Supervise the daily operations of the food service teams, ensuring efficient allocation of duties and tasks.
    • Assist with the management and provision of wine, including pairing wines and selecting new wines for the cellar.
  • Customer Service and Quality
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that high standards of presentation are maintained at all times.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Staff Development and Training
    • Train and develop staff to achieve high standards of customer service and presentation.
    • Emphasize the importance of presentation and encourage staff to try new dishes and ideas.
  • Hygiene and Safety
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to allergen policies and legal requirements.
    • Lead by example in observing rules concerning personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Record Keeping and Administration
    • Ensure that all daily record keeping is maintained accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong operational management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and proactive approach to collaboration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
