Job Title: Admin Officer

We are seeking an experienced Admin Officer to join our team at Brook Street NMR. As an Admin Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration: Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings. Produce court/tribunal documents. General photocopying and filing. Create and update records on in-house computer systems and data input.
  • Post Opening and Dispatch: Prepare court rooms. Draft standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes, reports, submissions, etc., according to guidelines and instructions.
  • Operations: Clerking civil and family courts, tribunals, and hearings, ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date. Assist court users, support listing and rota management, check files. Contact relevant parties, schedule, serve court documents, execute warrants, collect fines and fees, etc.
  • Processing Casework: Manage the DCJ's diary, listing cases as needed, and sending out hearing notices. Include standard documentation and information, court orders, claims, fines, and fees, legal aid. Resulting courts accurately, interpreting accurately the information required on a court file.
  • Checking and Verifying: Documents, records, accounts, claims, and returns for approval, results, statistics, plans, etc., against criteria, regulations, or procedures. Ensure compliance and administration documentation meet quality standards.
  • Communicating with the Public: Communicate and work with the Judiciary, Magistracy, the Cluster Managers, Court staff, and other internal/external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to collect information, check facts, communicate, or enforce judicial decisions.
Essential Skills & Criteria:
  • Strong customer focus and service skills.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment.
  • Proficient with IT and Microsoft Software packages.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
