Job Description

Sonderwell is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Recruitment and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance standards are met and that our recruitment processes are efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial Contact: Respond to new candidates within 24 hours of receiving an application or expression of interest.
  • Candidate Screening: Conduct telephone screens and progress suitable candidates through the selection stages, including conducting formal interviews and documenting outcomes.
  • Application Tracking: Use our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track and manage applications, ensuring all contact is documented and reports are provided as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all CQC and regulatory guidelines for safer recruitment are adhered to, including conducting referencing checks, right to work checks, and following up on gaps in employment history and non-compliant references.
  • DBS Checks: Obtain compliant documents to submit enhanced DBS checks on behalf of candidates and review the outcome of the DBS check.
  • Induction and Training: Participate in the delivery of the induction to new employees and plan and book all new employees onto necessary training to ensure they are compliant to work for the business.
  • Employee Compliance: Plan and book all existing employees onto necessary and recommended training and repeat training as required to ensure they remain compliant with minimum and preferred training requirements.
  • Safe Employment Standards: Liaise with existing employees to organize required documents for submission of repeat DBS applications, obtain documentation such as new driving licenses and passport evidence, and complete Share Code checks as requested.
  • Community Engagement: Have an active professional presence in the local community to promote the business and attract potential employees, including attending local job events.
