Position: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Field Role)

Compensation: £Competitive

Location: Position requires residence in the South East/West region of the UK

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 17:00pm, and Friday 08:00am to 12:30pm

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and dependability of our suppliers' offerings. Your responsibilities will include engaging with a variety of suppliers, evaluating their performance, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. What does a typical day entail?

  • Design and execute a supplier audit framework and timelines.
  • Assess and evaluate the current supply chain.
  • Authorize and onboard new suppliers, confirming adherence to our quality benchmarks.
  • Work alongside suppliers to identify and resolve challenges, considering factors such as time, processes, materials, and costs.
  • Actively engage in troubleshooting manufacturing and quality-related concerns with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to determine the root causes of quality discrepancies.
  • Participate in reviews concerning quality issues and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, initiating improvement strategies as needed.
  • Prepare essential supplier documentation for final customer First Article Inspections (FAIs).

Are you the right fit?

  • Willing to travel to suppliers using your own vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and enhancing supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and quality enhancement tools.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings.
