Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Support Professional to join our team at U-Educate. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of students in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational requirements.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing lesson plans, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to meet their academic objectives.
  • Supervise students during lessons, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to support student progress.
  • Contribute to the development of Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) to ensure students receive targeted support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in education support.
  • Support the school's behavior management policies and procedures, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (candidates without a current certificate can undertake a free course with U-Educate).
